A distant memory, quietly cherished
A secret look, longed to be perished
The morning rushes to beat her to class
Nervously she enters, tempted by the lass
The place once dry, soon buzzing with life
A cool breeze sweeps in to ease strife
Rebuilding the bodies of man and beast alike
For on the last bench he had a special sight
Arriving with grace, she smiled at me tenderly
All eyes were upon her beauty on the hallowed ground like meekly lambs
Ignoring the gazes of all, she takes her seat grandly and calmly
Wasn't it then that I saw love's sweetest expression that day?
O'er many years this moment lingers on still today!
